A good time was had by all….
THANK YOU!!
Just a quick post to thank everyone for participating in this year’s reunion events. As we “recover” you’ll see more additions to the blog here–we are keeping it alive!!! (It is hell to get old, isn’t it? All of the weekend festivities have me in a bit of a quandry with one heck of a head cold!! Thank God my Sudafed is still good because you can’t find it anymore OTC!!! But I am quite proud to admit, no headaches post events !!! Must be that extra 20 lbs on my backside that compensates when my liquor quotient rises more than normal! Whew!).
Anyhow, thanks to all who attended, and all who held us in your thoughts. If you attended, it was great to see you (even if we didn’t recognize you at first). If you didn’t attend, rest assured, you were definitely missed. Please watch the blog for the next few weeks as we post photos from the events and the results from the alumni survey and an online directory of graduates. We will also post a new online survey to determine when we might plan our next outting. I think everyone enjoyed seeing each other and reveling in how life takes it course. Everyone has produced such lovely families–it was nice to see your personalities reflected in so many little ones and to think of all the great things each of those little kids has to experience as they move forward like we have in life!
There was a lot of conversation about “doing this again” so we are going to start thinking about how to do that on not such a formal scale–like a picnic or weiner roast at someone’s house or an outting to meet one night at a restaurant for dinner.
Anyone wanting to share their photos, can upload them to the flickr group or the facebook page. Or if you’re wanting to see them on the blog, let me know where they are or email them to me directly…. long.lori@comcast.net
Anyone wanting to comment on anything, please leave it on the blog. You can comment to any post by clicking the comment tag at the bottom….In fact open those up so you can read them. We received a nice message from Brian Miller this morning. Anyone wanting to post anything directly, email me and let me know, we’ll give you access!!!
Again, thanks to all who attended!!!
Homecoming 2008
It was great to see so many graduates from the Class of 1988 at homecoming. Our Cadets didn’t do so hot, okay, we were horrible, losing to Speedway 0-40. But, it was because we didn’t have Scott Wiggins out there to rush for 170 yards! But, he was at the game and here are some photos of others who came.
HEY EVERYONE…IT WORKED.
We’ll see the Wiggins family tomorrow at the picnic–total of 5!!
Its not too late until the party’s over. Everyone is welcome to join us tonight and tomorrow, whether you RSVP’d or not–though, we might ask you for some $$ to help us cover our costs.
PARTY ON, DUDES.
Mullet, anyone? It was the 80s you know.
Just kidding. I guess it was in style at the time.
IF ANYONE HAS SEEN THESE TWO PLAYBOYS, NEITHER OF THEM HAS RSVP’D FOR THE PARTY THIS WEEKEND. PLEASE LOOK THEM UP AND RAZZ THEM INTO COMING. WE CAN USE THIS PHOTO TO BRIBE THEM TO BE THERE.
We’ll be happy to take it down, should they decide to join us.
Rumor has it both young men have been very “productive” in their time since high school. Mr. Wiggins is the proud father of 5 year old twin boys (oh yeah) and an 18 month old baby girl. Ya think she’s gonna be spoiled? And Papa Tudor has…um, yes, 5 little ones running around. Holy cow–look at world!
Seriously, if you see them or know how to reach them, extend the invite. We’d love to see them and hear how life’s been treating them–particularly with all those young-uns. I know they won’t be busy with THAT on Saturday night–they’ve been busy already!
It’s Not Too Late
There is still time to join us this weekend at our 20th high school class reunion.
Meet us at homecoming Friday night at 7 pm. C-C-C-A-D-E-E-E-T-S; C-A-D-E-T-S, Cadets are best!
The picnic is at 1 pm Saturday at Hummel Park and dinner is scheduled for 7 pm at Chateau Thomas Winery. Don’t let not sending in your check stop you–we can collect funds from you at the door.
Between all of the events, we have over half of our class coming! It was fun tracking everyone down and seeing what people are up too. I loved turning on my computer in the morning to see who I might have a message from.
Troy, Lori, Francie, Cindy and I have had a blast planning this event. We can’t wait to see you!

Message from Lee Ann Vanes
News from Missy Shafer…
Teresa,
I am well, thank you. How are you???
My email is mteal@bhsi.com. My mailing address is P.O. Box 910014 Lexington , KY 40591 .
Your blog was a trip down memory lane. Thanks for adding it. I wish I could go to the reunion but have other commitments. I am interested in hearing how everyone is doing.
A little about what has been going on with me… I married Scott in 1991. We have two beautiful blonde girls. Sydney is 14 and in high school now and Reilly is 11 and in 6thgrade. They are both big into soccer. Reilly is even training with the Olympic development program. So, I am a soccer mom. I work in Lexington in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and we live in a little bitty town southwest of here. I live the typical American lifestyle: house, two dogs, one cat, work and still enjoy some sports. I am of course starting to feel my age. I had knee surgery a year ago (fix my bum knee I tore up in high school) so that has slowed me some.
I wish everyone well. Hope to hear from you!!

Anyone for the Bell-in post game?
Do you think they serve anything but ice cream and sodas there anymore?
Now, seriously, everyone give a shout out to Ms. LeeAnn Vanes, who won’t be able to make it this weekend. Certainly, after so many of us mentioned the parties at her house on our RSVP surveys, we owe her a big ole partying shout out. So here it is, missey!!! WHEWHOO.
